Last night while working on a new developer tool, I described my work as "fabulous" to which my boyfriend replied "You better be making a program that turns the whole internet into rainbows". Well, challenge accepted! I spent about an hour reading about extensions to Google Chrome and got to work. I didn't want to make something too invasive so I decided to have the widget just insert the rainbow as a background. When the extension icon is clicked, it also queries flickr for the latest images tagged "gay pride" and displays those. You can download the Rainbowify Chrome Extension here.
