Raising Funds for Open Source via Gittip

I'm trying to contribute more of my time nowadays to developing open source software and helping other people learn and get involved in the open source movement. Ideally, I'd like to spend all of my time doing so. If you're unfamiliar with this idea, basically I write software for free for other people to use. I believe this is the best way to advance our online society as it helps everyone work much easier and faster toward our collective goals. If it weren't for other open source developers I probably wouldn't have a career in technology or even a working computer(Linux is open source and is the foundation of EVERYTHING you know and love).

So! I'm trying to raise a little money via Gittip to fund my open-source adventures. I don't get paid for the software that I develop and release for free. I do it because I struggled with a problem and I don't want other people to go through the same thing. I want to provide a way for them to easily accomplish the same thing I spent a lot of time doing. Gittip is a way to provide small(or large if you really love me and free stuff) donations to developers you like. Donations are made weekly and you can donate as little as 25 cents. I don't think a quarter each week is a ton of money so I would really appreciate it if anybody reading this would make a small commitment to my fund so I can continue to make cool stuff for the web. I really really really love making open source software and want to continue to do so. And like I said, I believe in this movement and community so I'm donating a third of the money that I receive to other developers who makes stuff that makes my life easier.

I hope you'll make a donation and help me keep making tools the entire world benefits from!
